Laoyai Family Learning works with child development centers in 20 communities in rural Kalasin province (northeastern part of Thailand) and will be impacting around 60-100 young children up to the age of 9, elementary school teachers and parents.

The center aims to:

• Organize training and information sessions for teachers and parents on how to develop children’s learning and verbal skills through storytelling, reading, and play

• Develop a reading culture in families by providing reading facilities to the child development center in Laoyai community. This will provide the family with an exciting learning environment and tighten the bond between parents and their children

Every 83 baht, you can provide quality learning materials to underprivileged children in Kalasin Province

• Storybook expenses for children from the age of 0-9 years old (at 3,000 baht/set).

• Staffs’ expenses including transportation, meals, telephone bills and other costs (at 2,000 baht/community, which a community have on average of 60 children; for a total of 20 communities)

Thus, your donation can give 1 set of quality storybook set (3,000 / 60 = 50 baht per child) and covers necessary staff expenses (2,000 / 60 = 33 baht per child). In total, 83 baht per child.
