Dek Noi Pattana Foundation (DNPF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving early childhood development (ECD) in rural Thailand. Currently we are working closely with communities in Surin and Roi-Et to transform childcare centers attended by two-to-four year olds into high-quality learning centers through teacher training and coaching, parental engagement, and community support. Our goal is to give every child a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success.

The first five years of life are critical for brain development, yet childcare centers in Thailand are not provided with sufficient technical and other support. In particular, teachers are not provided with the training and coaching support needed to help them implement high-quality learning programs. As a result, many children do not develop essential foundational skills, limiting their future learning and life opportunities.

DNPF works directly with local childcare centers to improve quality through in-service training of teachers and caretakers, on-site and continuous coaching once each month of teachers and caretakers, and engagement with parents and communities. We also monitor child development to confirm measurable progress. This approach creates sustainable improvements in both teaching quality and child outcomes.

Impact is measured through child development assessments, with results showing that 90% of children in DNPF supported centers can independently perform key developmental skills, compared to less than 70% in non-supported centers.
