Description

This cooking course focuses on the use of ingredients commonly used in Japanese homes such as Gobo, Oba leaves and etc. The course aims at giving its students insights into the art of cooking Japanese home dishes. Students will learn a total of 14 dishes taught over a 2 day period. It is perfect for someone who is planning on opening their own restaurants and chefs who want to learn more. Whoever you are, the V School always welcomes those who are interested in cooking.

Course Schedule

Session 1

• Takikomi Gohan ( Steam Rice with mushroom and vegetable )

• Tonjiru ( Miso Flavoured pork and vegetable soup )

• Tofu Hamburgu ( Chicken and tofu steak )

• Yakinasu ( Grilled eggplant served with grated radish and vinegar sauce )

Session 2

• Misonikomi Udon ( Udon Simmered in red miso soup )

• Kinpira Gobou ( Spicy braised burdock root and carrot )

• Dashimaki ( Seasoned Japanese rolled omelet )

Session 3

• Oyako Don ( Seasoned chicken with egg on the rice )

• Nikujyaga ( Meat and onion stew in sweetened soy sauce )

• Agedashi Tofu ( Deep fried tofu served in a hot soy sauce-base broth )

Session 4

• Sake to Oba Chahan ( Salmon fried rice with oba leaf and sesame )

• Shira-ae ( Mashed tofu salad with vegetable )

• Rencon no Ebi Hasami Age ( Deep-fried lotus root stuffed with minced shrimp )

• Saba Shioyaki (Saba sashimi marinaded with salt)
