Issue
There are more than 100,000 stray dogs in Bangkok, Thailand. While some of them were abandoned by their owners, others were born homeless and their only food source is the waste dumped on the street. Moreover, many are covered in scars and have received broken bones from road accidents or animal abuse, which often lead to fatal infections and painful death. The lack of access to medical treatment such as neutering and vaccinations results in unwanted pregnancies, which further increases the number of homeless dogs and increases the likelihood of contracting rabies.
How does the project address the issue?
The Voice Foundation addresses the issue through:
• Providing vital vaccines for strayed animals such as vaccines for rabies and measles.
