Thale Noi Community in Phatthalung Province is regarded as one of the oldest communities in Thailand, founded during the Sukhothai Period. Thale Noi Village is a freshwater lake with its abundant ecosystem in Phatthalung Province. Most of the local villagers earn their living by being fishermen and weaving sedge products because sedge is an aquatic plant growing naturally in Thale Noi. Traditional hand-woven sedge products are officially known as the extremely popular products in Thale Noi community because of its strength and durability. The process of creating these particularly beautiful products has been inherited from generation to generation.

In addition, this community includes simple homestay accommodations which allow all tourists who are highly interested in learning their culture and experiencing the lifestyle of local villagers to relax and enjoy sedge weaving activity with the villagers and so on.
